Ask yourself the following questions... 1. In the case of a homicide, who cleans and decontaminates the scene? Police? EMT? Crime scene investigators? The police, EMT and crimes scene investigators certainly have a job to do—but often their job inadvertantly makes matters worse as far as clean-up is concerned. The responsibility falls upon the property owner and/or the property owner's family to arrange a thorough clean and decontamination—but until the crime scene has been released, no one can start the decontamination process, which means advancement of secondary damages. Once Heritage Crisis Solution confirms release of the scene, we will assess the damage and research the level of homeowners' insurance reimbursement, and then full decontamination services will be performed. 2. In the case of a suicide, who cleans and decontaminates the scene and the aftermath? This has always been a question you never want to ask, but the answer is—the family or property owner. THIS IS WHY WE FORMED HERITAGE CRISIS SOLUTIONS! The family has gone through so much already that our goal is to quietly step in and handle the situation in a professional and discreet manner. We eliminate the hazards most people never even think about, don't want to think about, and are not trained physically or emotionally to handle. We know, through experience, that we have been (and continue to be) properly trained to physically handle the task assigned to us, but each case leaves a mental scar even after training on self-preservation and separation. 3. How and why did a renovation company pursue decontamination services? Primarily due to a burden we received as we watched a client struggle with a related experience. We wanted to help—but we had no training, no equipment, no idea of what hazards we would be facing, no idea what to do with "the waste"... Our questions went on and on, with no answers in sight. To ask why a renovation company would "pursue" this line of work would be inaccurate. The truth is, the management team of our renovation company formed an independent company specifically trained in the field of bio-hazard decontamination. After a great deal of research, time, and money, we accomplished our courses of CTSD training, OSHA safety training, PPE training, blood-borne pathogen, hazard training courses, and more—plus medical evaluations, immunizations, and the purchase of state of the art equipement. Heritage Crisis Solutions proudly boast of its level of experience, level of qualifications and training, and level of professionalism—but will NEVER boast of the number of cases handled because we will always know that this was someone's son or daughter. 4.
